| Badger's Moon began when Lynn Lee brought her artistic talent and her love of nature together to make jewelry that captures and blends elements of color, shape and design in elegant combinations. Every necklace is a unique work of art, inspired by the shapes and colors in the beads, pendants and clasps that Lynn gathers from far afield. Lynn combines semi-precious stones such as jade, jasper, lapis lazuli, aventurine, pietersite and malachite with pendants and highlights of stone, pewter, murano glass, hand-carved tagua nuts and other beautiful carefully-chosen substances to create one-of-a-kind jewelry for every look and every occasion. Lynn and her husband moved to Maryland from England in 1984. They share their home with Tundra, a Siberian Husky and Anubis, a Labrador/Rottweiler mix. Both are rescues. Before putting her talents into making jewelry, Lynn worked in stained glass and her work can be found in commercial offices as well as private homes. When not making jewelry, Lynn volunteers with "All Creatures Great and Small,", a wildlife rehabilitation center in Columbia, MD. Lynn donates 10% of all Badger's Moon gross revenues to animal charities so your jewelry purchase is helping her help them. 5% goes to "All Creatures Great and Small" a wildlife rehab center that cares for small mammals and birds that are ill, injured or orphaned, restoring them to health and releasing them back into the wild. 5% goes to "Best Dawg Rescue Inc." (DAWG), who save shelter animals (primarily dogs) including those who require substantial medical care or who are overlooked because they are shy or older, restoring them to health and nurturing them until they are ready for adoption and then finding them permanent homes.. |
